The Steinbeck Festival

Mark Carruthers in conversation with Martin O’Neill, OBE

Friday 10 February, 8pm

Tickets £9.50

Mark is the well-known presenter of the long-running and highly successful, The View, and Sunday Politics programmes, as well as being the presenter of the more recent Red Lines Podcast. His interview last year with the internationally renowned artist Colin Davidson was a fascinating evening of insight and revelation and a Festival highlight. His guest this year, Martin O’Neill, OBE promises another, equally wonderful evening. Martin O'Neill, OBE is a Northern Irish professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. Starting his career in Northern Ireland, O'Neill moved to England, playing for various clubs during his time there. As a player, O'Neill won 64 caps for Northern Ireland and captained his country at the 1982 World Cup. O’Neil then moved into management and became Republic of Ireland manager in 2013 and led them to qualification for the 2016 UEFA European Championship for the third time in the nation's history. This an evening not to be missed at this year’s Steinbeck Festival.
