Luminosity | 3 – 31 August

AUGUST CHILDREN’S MONTH COMMUNITY EXHIBITION LAUNCH | 2pm | Everyone welcome | Refreshments provided.

Led by artist Alana Barton and participating teenagers from Limavady, this exhibition explores the essence of adolescence, relationships and pressing contemporary issues.

The word "luminosity" symbolises light, clarity, and brilliance. It can evoke the inner light and potential within teens as they navigate their dreams, relationships, and important issues. It represents the idea of illuminating their inner worlds and shedding light on their unique perspectives.

Utilising an array of mark-making techniques and diverse materials, this exhibition captures the raw and honest perspectives of today's youth. Each piece reflects a unique voice, lending insight into the hopes, dreams, and concerns that shape their world. Join us for an intimate exploration of the young mind's creative landscape.

In 2019 Alana won Northern Ireland Young Artist of the Year and was awarded the SIAP General Arts award.
