To compliment the Karl Blossfeldt Exhibition, Art Forms in Nature, Emma Thorpe will lead a nature themed quilling workshop inspired by Blossfeldt’s nature images. Quilling dates back to the 15th and 16th centuries and is the coiling and pinching of paper strips into different shapes, which can then be used to decorate a variety of items. During this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to make simple shapes and curls with paper strips, creating a decorated initial set in a deep picture frame. Perfect to brighten up a room at home or give as a gift to someone special.
Use promo code Concession on Eventbrite to access the concession rate when purchasing tickets online. Concession rates apply to students, those aged 65 years and older and those who are unwaged. Please note that you may be asked to supply your student ID or ID at the door of the event when presenting your concession ticket.
This workshop has been inspired by the Hayward Gallery Touring, Art Forms in Nature Exhibition by Karl Blossfeldt, on show in our galleries.
