About the tutor

As a designer/maker for about twenty years Helen Walshaw made children’s hats for the craft market, at home and abroad. During all this time she loved making textiles for her own pleasure, discovering the many handmade traditions that exist worldwide. She now enjoys sharing these through workshops with community groups. Helen is especially drawn to block print and slow sewing techniques.
