Anne McAlarney’s work explores tensions between the lost and found. ‘anama’ exhibition is the result of something, somewhere, sometime, sensed. The space where ideas float and are held become artefact. In this body of work, paint seeks economy of expression in a series of minimalistic oil paintings on board, where focus on brush marks and surrounding space is central.
