THE STEINBECK CONNECTION PRIMARY SCHOOLS ART EXHIBITION

10 February-30 March

EXHIBITION LAUNCH: Saturday 10 February, 11am. All welcome.

As part of the annual Steinbeck Festival, local primary schools are invited to design a book cover from a choice of three of John Steinbeck’s books. This year, pupils designed covers for either ‘Cannery Row’, ‘Of Mice and Men’ or ‘Sweet Thursday’.

Hugely popular, this competition familiarises local children with the Pulitzer prize-winning author’s unique connection to the area, and his internationally acclaimed works of literature and challenges their creative skills in producing their own visual artwork to encapsulate the book’s content. This resulting exhibition is full of imagination and colour, guaranteed to make you smile!
