anama – A MINIMALIST EXPLORATION OF THE LOST AND FOUND

29th January 2025

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on 18th January for the launch of anama, a thought-provoking exhibition by Anne McAlarney at Flowerfield Arts Centre.

Anne’s work beautifully explores the tensions between the lost and found, capturing fleeting moments and transforming them into artefacts. Through a series of minimalistic oil paintings on board, she focuses on the economy of expression, where each brush mark and the surrounding space play a crucial role. The result is a contemplative and deeply atmospheric collection that invites viewers to pause and reflect.

If you haven’t seen anama yet, the exhibition runs until 1st February. Be sure to visit and experience this stunning exploration of form, space, and meaning.
