We’re on the lookout for a full-time, permanent Technician to join the team at Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre. Although you'll be primarily based at Roe Valley Arts Centre, you'll also provide technical support to Flowerfield Arts Centre, so no week will be the same
This role is all about ensuring smooth, professional, and high-quality technical support across our vibrant programme of events, performances, exhibitions and conferences.
What does the role involve?
- Setting the stage—managing lighting, sound, and audio-visuals for events, theatre performances, and exhibitions.
- Keeping everything running smoothly—overseeing equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring top-notch technical services.
- Supporting creativity—working with artists, touring companies, and local groups to deliver exceptional experiences
- Hands-on and dynamic—one day, you’re setting up a live gig; the next, ensuring a keynote powerpoint at a conference runs smoothly or gaurantteing a film screening goes off without a hitch.
- Being a key part of our venues—providing Duty Officer support, working evenings and weekends when needed, and helping with venue operations.
Who are we looking for?
- Someone with technical theatre, AV, or event production experience.
- A problem-solver who stays cool under pressure and can think on their feet.
- A team player who’s happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
- A detail-oriented professional who understands health & safety and technical best practices.
