Exhibiting acclaimed artist Aidan Crotty hosted a Painting Masterclass with community members.
To coincide with his exhibition Brumous, the artist held a painting workshop for adults on 8 February 2024.
The workshop was over-subscribed and participants raved about their experience learning first hand from Aidan.
Primarily a painter, the Sligo-based award-winning artist has been continually developing his practice since 2005. Recent work involves conveying the physical presence of the every day through painting.
Aidan recently completed a 6-month residency at The Model Studios, funded by Sligo Arts Service. He received the ESB Keating Award and Silver Medal at the RHA, in 2022 and the Zurich Portrait Prize 2020 at the National Gallery of Ireland, so this was truly a unique opportunity for community participants.
