Conductology C.I.C. is thrilled to present the launch of their inclusive orchestra on Saturday 20th May at 5pm in the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, Limavady.

The Company is hosting this event to mark the launch of the first of its kind in the world Conductology Orchestra. Conductology is a universal gesture system for use in real time music making. Extensively researched and trialled, the innovation is scientifically proven to progress a plethora of skills among those with, and without, additional needs.

Project CREAM (Conductology Rural Engagement and Access to Music), funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and in partnership with Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, brought 9 talented musicians together over 8 sessions. The musicians are now the world first’s Conductology Orchestra members. The launch event will feature semi-structured music compositions using a variety of instruments ranging from piano, music technology, gamelan, and keyboard. The musicians, under the direction of the Conductologist, carry out the Conductology system directives which they have learned and rehearsed over the sessions.

Conductology has been described by professionals in the music field as a ‘game changer’ in music performance and education.

We look forward to sharing this special event with you, which is supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre.
