STEINBECK DUSTBOWL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION – A POWERFUL EXPLORATION OF ‘LEAVING’

12th February 2025

On Saturday, 8th February, we were thrilled to launch this year’s Steinbeck Festival Dustbowl Photography Exhibition in the stunning Keady Gallery at Roe Valley Arts & Culture Centre. The competition, introduced in 2023, invited photographers to explore the theme of Leaving, and the results were nothing short of remarkable.

We were honoured to welcome Mayor Cllr Ciarán McQuillan, who took time to view the striking images and congratulate the competition winners. During the awards ceremony, Cllr Brenda Chivers praised the outstanding talent on display and recognised the efforts of the Steinbeck Festival Committee and RVACC staff in bringing this exhibition to life.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of a handcrafted bowl by renowned local ceramicist Adam Frew to the competition winner—a truly special award for an extraordinary achievement.

The exhibition runs until 22nd March 2025, celebrating the creativity of local photographers. Be sure to visit and experience these evocative images for yourself!
