We are delighted to release our September - December 2025 Arts Guide. This fantastic season is packed, with live performances, exhibitions, film and workshopsto inspire and entertain.

The Twilight Sessions return with Women in Black on Thursday 19 September. Fresh from sell-out shows at the New Gate Arts Centre and City of Derry Jazz Festival, this mesmerising all-female quartet — Ursula McHugh (vocals), Dee Doherty (piano), Jude Murphy (double bass/sax) and Rebecca Montgomery (drums) — will reimagine exquisite melodies and love songs from the Golden Era alongside modern favourites, delivered with their signature flair.

On Friday 3 October, Roe Valley hosts Forever and Ever*, presented by Blue Eagle Productions and New Gate Arts & Cultural Centre. Written by Jonathan Burgess, this intimate new play follows Jennifer, a mortuary make-up artist, as she prepares the body of a young man who has taken his own life — only to find him speaking back. A poignant exploration of grief, regret and loss, the production is suitable for ages 16+ only and contains sensitive themes including suicide, self-harm and family trauma. Tickets are free but advance booking is essential. We have a daytime School performance - Find out more.

Further Twilight Sessions include Tempest, a sensational traditional line-up featuring Brendan Mulholland, Bláithín Mhic Cana, Aaron O’Hagan and Luke Ward, supported by the soulful voice of Múlú, on Saturday 11 October. And on Friday 15 November, the electrifying duo String Ninjas return with their exhilarating mix of violin, guitar and live looping.

Halloween at Roe Valley is full of atmosphere with a screening of Coco in partnership with Cinemagic, the centre’s family favourite Haunted House creative afternoon, and a special TENX9 storytelling evening with a Halloween theme.

Community theatre shines in late November as Limavady Drama Club and Chloe Riley Drama present The Wizard of Oz* (26–29 November). Expect a fun-filled retelling of the classic story, bursting with humour, warmth and wonderful performances from this much-loved local group.

Roe Valley’s galleries will showcase the work of acclaimed Sligo artist Lorna Watkins with Tend/er (13 September–31 October), exploring motherhood, ageing and overlooked everyday objects through painting, printmaking and sculpture. This will be followed by two uplifting community exhibitions: Limavady Art Group (7 November–19 December) and Pavestone Collective (7 November–19 December). Both highlight creativity at the heart of the community and present the perfect opportunity to pick up unique artworks as Christmas gifts.

It’s not just the stage and galleries that will be buzzing at Roe Valley this season — our classrooms and studios are alive with creativity too. Kids can get stuck into creative workshops such as slime-making, pottery, and other crafty adventures, while adults can explore a colourful mix of workshops designed to inspire and delight.

Try your hand at painting with our talented tutors, or discover the magic of silk painting as colours flow and blend into vibrant patterns. If you’re curious about textiles, there are wonderful sessions in needle felting and fabric crafts, and for those drawn to glass, you can experiment with fused glass andTiffany-style glass techniques to create your own sparkling designs.

Food loversaren’t left out either! Erin Bunting from The Edible Flower will be hosting delicious culinary workshops — from exploring the fragrant flavours of Vietnamese cooking to a festive treat of sloe gin and chocolate truffles in the run-up to Christmas.

Whether you’re picking up a new hobby, brushing up on skills, or simply looking for a creative way to spend a morning, Roe Valley has something for everyone this autumn.
